Amber is a San Francisco-based techno and tech-house DJ and producer with a driving beat and aggressively risky mixing technique in a town better known for it's laid back house style.
In 2003, Amber co-founded NorCal DJ and Music Production Academy in San Francisco,
where she develops and instructs DJ courses. She is also a recurring guest lecturer for the UCLA Graduate School of Musicology course on
“The History of Electronic Music“. Amber is a resident with the San Francisco branch of Sister USA, the most recognized cross-genre, all-female
DJ collective in the world. From 2002 - 2003 San Francisco Bay Area locals watched Amber on television as Host of :CODE, a nightlife and electronic music television show.
Amber and her projects have been featured in Jockey Slut (UK), XLR8R (US), Remix Magazine (US), Etc. Magazine (US), Karma Magazine (US),
Szene (Germany), The San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Magazine and numerous online publications. Amber has also been featured in two documentary films,
“Generation E“ and “Vinyl is a Girl’s Best Friend“, and has been a featured panel speaker at Remix Hotel presented by Remix Magazine and Technics.
Three CD releases, “Live with Friends and Family“ (2004),
“Gold“ (2002), and “CityDweller“ (2001) have put her unique mix into the hands of thousands. Her latest track Your Love [Whatwithall], written with co-producer Russ Arteaga,
is featured on the CD ”Altered Evidence” (2004), a compilation CD including remixes of original tracks by the group Karmacoda, with sales benefiting San Francisco Late Night
Coalition (SFLNC).
